In an old collection of Punch I found the work of Anton, rare at the time (50's) to be a lady cartoonist, and funny, and working for Punch - I like her

HA! They're always funnier when they take you a moment to get, because suddenly you just feel oh so clever! :D Also, a lovely illustration. Reminds me of the loose yet vivid expressionism of Quentin Blake. And this girl artist you might know: Kate Beaton?
