Took my new Canon G10 for a walk and this was one of the first photos, lovely Kookaburra by the Yarra river. There's all sorts of weird birds, and exotic ducks, hawks, eagles, ospreys, and owls. There are 3 species of this bird in the U.S. In the eastern U.S. this is a whipperwill. In Oklahoma it may be called something else. My books are at home, so I cannot be certain of the name.
