Restaurants bring out extra tables in the evening. The fountain in the centre of the magnificent Place du Parlement in Old Bordeaux was built in 1865. Tall, elegant windows adorn the buildings, in the style of Louis XV. Bordeaux - detail from the Fontaine des Girondins. Incredibly, stolen by the Germans in 1943, it was re-installed in all its splendour in 1983! They don't build 'em like they used to. This is a H2O fountain at my son's public school Circa 1920. Stoney's looking a bit different since their 'upgrade'. Winter diving sites are hard to find. Luckily we found one! Bonjour tristesse. Was hoping this dismal new square would look better with the fountain on. I was wrong. Pretty fountains in the Ocean Room at COSI. Almost frozen pond at my apartments. I'd like to see some snow tonight!
