Finally back to some wheel time. A couple sessions - throwing, trimming, pulling & attaching handles. Felt great!
Any guess as to what this is???
My adopted "son" Tigger - a true treehugger!
Playing w/the new fluting tool from Bill van Gilder. Loving the results!
My latest endeavor in clay-soup crocks. Here they are drying. Last night I glazed them. Hopefully fired next week!
Playing with light in my great room. Antique vases from grandmother, lights from Mel. Like an aurora borealis show in my home!
Hmmm, almost Happy Hour if I was on vaca time. Too bad I'm back at work this week! ; (
Snowdrops - the brave little troopers that signal spring's a coming! A welcome site for sure!
Unearthed these during yard clean up today. Finally some color! Loving it after a long, hard New England Winter.
It's kinda like living in a Christmas card, only with a lot more shoveling and roof raking involved.
This morning's first espresso - bodes well for the day!
View from living room - lump in background is actually my new Outback! Jan 2011 in CT = WAY too much snow.
Big ol' pot of flu-buster soup
Cocktail of choice when down w/a cold...
Even HarleyBean enjoyed the PBS Nature program on eagles.
Sometimes it's nice to be on this side of clouds...
Hand-carved base of this vase was rubbed w/rutile stain. Then, soft butternut glaze w/glossy black rim & inside.
Rolled rim on this mug makes for a very nice sip. The mocha latte that I made to christen the mug was delish!
Just out of the kiln - chipped rim became a carved edge, then played around with glazing to highlight the area.
View from my bench in "church" - such a great place to meditate! We're having a spectacular color palette this fall
