Hostess Sheila Whitworth fastens Ringo’s safety belt on a Viking aircraft. Brian Epstein paid £400 to charter the plane on Boxing Day to fly Ringo, Cilla Black, Tommy Quickly, and members of the Fourmost and the Dakotas from Liverpool, where they’d spent Christmas, back to London for further performances of The Beatles’ Christmas Show. Also on board was the Beatles’ roadie Mal Evans.
