In celebration of Mandela's 94th birthday, Lead SA and the Independent Newspaper Group decided to support the 94+ Schools Project. Together with the Department of Education, the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory aimed to improve the infrastructure of at least 94 schools across the country. Lead SA adopted schools in need and identified areas where groups or individuals can assist

Nov 2010 - Lead SA joined forces with the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC) to highlight the spread of HIV/AIDS and to encourage people to know their status. High profile personalities as well as presenters got tested and were able to inspire others to do the same.

Lead SA partnered with Dial Direct's Pothole Brigade and road authorities to tackle the potholes and faulty traffic lights. When the initiative was canned due to red tape in June 2012, over 50 000 potholes had been repaired

During the crippling public servants' strike, Lead SA came to the rescue of the class of 2010 matrics with a donation of R1million worth of Primeducation matric revision DVD sets to schools in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KZN. The DVD's were also screened at Ster Kinekor theatres. A special award was presented to Lead SA by the Gauteng Education department
