Fish roe, scotch and the pleasure of waking the sweetheart of my beloved wife and my best friend ... This is heaven #fb

A fisherman throws net on the 'river' called Gomor (a backwater fissure really) near Dayapur Island in remote Sunderban

This is going on in my "relax" room. Wife won't let me "yet one more time". Now show your poison. :-)

More Sundarban pictures tomorrow. However, wanted to share yet another sunset pic in the islands. Check this out

Vacant yard as seen from apartment I'm in. Plot is disputed, no construction yet. Can you identify the plants?

One more image of the Farakka barrage. There you can see the flood gates

The Farakka barrage on the Ganga. Bangladesh doesn't like this #fb

The Mahananda near Malda. Entering Malda, the mecca of mangos. A famous variety is named after the place

Miles and miles of jute plantation. Nowhere else in India apart from the east you will see this

Jute field and two houses. Remote north Bengal

Waiting for train to Guwahati. Late by 30min. Check absence of electric lines. It's going to be diesel engine :-)

The Brahmaputra as seen from the Kolia Bhromora bridge. Sorry for the poor shot by phone

This is how the road looks now

There was no network for around 20-25km. Passed through this forest area

Chetan Bhagat! In Guwahati!

As train approaches Guwahati, you can see the low-lying areas flooded in the Bhramaputra basin. #fb

Aww! I managed to click this shot with this phone. Wish I had the proper camera ready. Still :-) #fb

A country fishery. Probably for the local population only. Saw a few but, certainly not on an industrial scale

That's the Rasikbil Forest. Not very big as compared to Buxa, Jaldapara, Manas in this area, but rich & nice #fb
