Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, ME ~ "On July 23, 1883, 27 acres of land was given by a gift Deed to Riverside Cemetery Corporation by Jerre Hacker and his wife, residents of Fort Fairfield, Maine. The first body buried in the cemetery was Almon S. Richards on July 2, 1884. By May 24, 1905, there were approximately 1000 people buried in the cemetery and about 900 had stones and monuments."
