RSPB nature reserve in mid west Wales. Ynys-hir mixes Welsh oak woodland with wet grassland and saltmarshes. We have a visitor centre and 7 hides.

No photos of the purple heron this visit @nature_backpack but this is a photo taken when we had one here in April.
The barn owls we were watching grow up on @bbc_springwatch venturing into the world.

The workshop swallows have really grown up this week! They look almost ready to fledge.
The workshop swallows looked rather warm on 4th July.
On July 1st the workshop swallow chicks eyes were open and their feathers were beginning to come through.
Look what was in the swallow nest on 27th June! Their eyes aren't even open yet.
