Al-Qala'a, Nafousa Mountains, Libya
Estimated to be from early April 2011

The destruction left after Gaddafi forces hit civilian homes in Al-Qala. This home appears to have been hit repeatedly taking down the walls of the home exposing the kitchen (stove and fridge in full view) and bedroom. The family car has been crushed. the This is evidence of Gaddafi forces targeting family homes. This is no mistake.

If this is what Al-Qala looked like in April, what does it look like now after seven weeks of complete siege by Gaddafi forces?

Al-Qala, Nafousa Mountains April 2011

The aftermath of a civilian home being bombarded by Gaddafi forces in Al-Qala'a in what is estimated to be early April, 2011.

This family living room has been hit through the roof, a hole can be seen in the reflection in the glass above the photo of the child.

What has become of this litter girl? We do not know what has happened to her.

Note: photos from this region are very rare and difficult to find as the region has been under siege for over 7 weeks now.
