In which an albatross comes to say hello. Laysan or short footed?

Things that go bump in the night... A beautiful flying fish.

The biggest surprise ever this morning when I was woken up by this grunting and honking outside my cabin! Poor wee thing - he must be lost. Does anyone know what he is? I reckon some sort of sealion because he has such distinct ears and forward feet.

Rowing time is poetry time... I love learning poems at sea.

Deliciously fab meal to celebrate , with a splash of gin!

Current crossroads.... The aim is to get up to the N fork and avoid the SSE pull. Not going to be easy!

Cabin time on the sea anchor - my bunk is as long as I am tall and shoulder width i.e cosy

Happy Socks for Happy Socks - thank you Mum!

Adventure cut: And this is with ten days` growth. What will it look like when I land in Canada? #sixmonthsatsea

Involved in a sea rescue today: Lots of starfish washed up onto the seawall. I popped them back. Some fab colours.

Happy shoes and Happy Socks.

Sending this from the boat via my Iridium phone as I test and charge bits of tech

She floats! Great to introduce Happy Socks to the Pacific this afternoon and run the watermaker. All systems go.
