This is resulting photo from the 2 White Bounce umbrellas. Notice that it looks basically the same as using Silver bounce umbrellas as in Lighting Setup #3.
This is a very simple setup using 2 White Bounce umbrellas. You could use either professional strobes or battery operated camera strobes.
I used Silver bounce umbrellas for this shot. Do you think it will look different if I had used White bounce umbrellas instead?
Notice that the lights are NOT in a 45 Degree angle. Instead, both lights are directly in front of the model. We are trying to create 1 giant umbrella.
This is one way to use 2 umbrellas to create a soft portrait with minimal shadow. It is best to use a white wall for this shot.
This wasn't my favorite photo from this setup, but I like the shot because I used only the natural light outside the club.
This was one of my favorite images from the shoot. It's a candid photo taken while the model is waiting for light checks to be done. I used a ring flash and 2 side lights for this shot.
Finally got my Sin City Cabaret (strip club) calendar last week. I shot this back in November of last year.
Another single cover taken at the same video shoot. Years ago I shot with only prime lenses. Today I use 17-35, 24-70 and 70-200 on a video set.
Kat DeLuna single cover shot on a music video set. This is one of those shots that I would not have gotten without a Nikon D3.
This is a closer look at the Lighting Diagram for the Jullisa photograph. Look for 6 more diagrams like this to be published to Twitter in the next 3 weeks.
