As reports come in of rising death tolls and numbers of missing people in the Philippines, Red Cross Staff and Volunteers are working around the clock to get aid to the survivors of Typhoon Bopha.

Specially trained Red Cross teams are assisting in the search & rescue for those who are still missing. In some remote areas, entire villages have been smothered by mud and debris washed down from the mountains.

The Red Cross is providing hot meals to those seeking shelter in evacuation centres as the full affect and the needs of those affected continues to be assessed.
