I asked the pilot today to fly "low and slow" on this line of oil in the Gulf south of the AL/FL line. All the way to the horizon there was an an oil sheen. Taken 6/13/2010

cleanup crews working the oil that came in last night through the Orange Beach Pass. The oil was not supposed to get into the estuary

This Great Blue Heron got into the oil inside the Orange Beach Pass. Last night heavy oil came in and coated the shoreline. We called bird rescue but somebody scare the bird and it flew off. Had oil all the way down to his feet. :(

Pensacola Beach an hour ago. Winds still offshore keeping most of the oil at bay. I only saw tiny tarballs at the high tide mark this morning.

The southwest wind blew the oil onto the beach. It's a straight line from the oil source to Pensacola Beach.

Satellite Trucks were bumper to bumper at Pensacola Beach today. I have never seen so many media folks in one spot. Every major city in Florida had a Sat Truck here - Jacksonville, Miami, West Palm, Orlando, etc.
