Containers and unusual items have been washing up on the beach due to the stormy weather. We’ve had a report of one gallon containers marked ‘methanol’ and ‘ethanol’ being washed up on the beach. We are advising the public not to touch these containers. If you come across a container please call Cityclean on (01273) 292929 so that we can dispose of it safely. Due to recent stormy conditions there is a greater likelihood of unusual items being washed up. Please stay away from any of these items and report them to us as soon as possible.

Please don’t fly-tip your Christmas tree on the pavement. This photograph is of different areas of fly-tipped trees along just one street in Hove. Abandoned trees can cause obstructions & can be unsafe. Please take your tree to one of our 23 tree recycling points across the city. You can find your nearest recycling point on our webpage at: Thank you to residents who have been using the tree recycling points.
