Walker Rejects Low-Wage Workers’ Living Wage Complaint

Yesterday, the Walker Administration dismissed an official living wage complaint filed with the Department of Workforce Development by over 100 low-wage Wisconsin workers.  Wisconsin law states that the minimum wage "shall be no less than a living wage."  The law sets forth a complaint process which includes the opportunity of a Wage Advisory Council that can make recommendations to the Governor on an appropriate, livable wage rate.

Commonsense economics tells us that $7.25, or $15,080, a year is not enough for a worker to live on...
