Artificial trees might not be as visually appealing as the real thing, but they would solve a huge problem. A company called Global Research Technologies is working on an artificial tree design that removes carbon dioxide from the air and stores it to be used for other purposes. About 250,000 of these are needed around the world to negate our current CO2 output.
