A potent low pressure system is expected to move from near Four Corners across central and eastern Colorado this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will become numerous over the mountains, while scattered thunderstorms develop over the rest of the region. Locally heavy rain should be expected...especially over the burn scars...along with the threat of severe storms over east central and northeast Colorado.
