A southwest wind flow aloft will persist across the state, with a limited supply of monsoon moisture continuing to spread north into Colorado. A series of weak upper level disturbances moving through this flow, will combine with the increase in moisture to bring occasional cloudiness, along with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to the region. The best chances for precipitation across the region will come on Friday, as a slightly stronger disturbance moves across the state. This will bring a better chance for locally heavy rain and flash flooding on area burn scars. Showers and Thunderstorms are expected to continue through Saturday. Area temperatures will cool back to near or slightly below normal through the upcoming weekend. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
