A southwest wind flow aloft will spread over the state for the next few days, with an increase in monsoon moisture expected across the region. Occasional weak upper level disturbances moving through this flow will push over eastern Colorado from time to time, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms developing each day. The best chances for precipitation will come Thursday night into Friday, as an upper level area of low pressure moves across Colorado, with an elevated threat for flash flooding expected on Friday. Area temperatures will fall back to near or slightly above average today, with a gradual cooling trend expected to continue into the upcoming weekend. Highs today will warm into the 80s and 90s across the eastern plains and 60 and 70s across the high country. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
