On this day in Weather History... In 2005, a severe thunderstorm moved through Greeley County in northwest Kansas after 3 PM local time, producing strong winds and large hail. Near Horace, the roof was blown off a carport by a 75 mph wind, and numerous limbs were removed from trees. Multiple 6-inch diameter tree limbs were reported down in the Tribune area, where a 64 mph wind was reported.
