Drier air should spread through southern Colorado Monday...with isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms building over the mountains...the upper Arkansas River Valley...and the eastern plains. Storms will likely produce more wind and lightning than rain over the area. Temperatures are going to a little above average...as highs reach the 70s in the mountains...the 70s to mid 80s over the southern valleys...and range in the upper 80s to near 100 degrees across the eastern plains. Tropical moisture could increase in the mid week period...bringing more widespread precipitation to the viewing area. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
