The air mass over southern Colorado will continue mostly dry out today, with isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms building over the area during the late afternoon and evening hours. Storms will be most numerous over the mountains...with only one or two weak storms drifting across lower elevations late in the day. Temperatures will stay around average at most locations...as highs reach the 60s and 70s in the high country...the 70s and 80s over the southern valleys...and range in the high 80s to near 100F across the eastern plains. A weak disturbance will move through the region mid to late week bringing more precipitation to the area with showers and thunderstorms. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
