A few showers and thunderstorms can be expected today mainly over the mountains. The daytime heating will again produce a few afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on Monday. High temperatures today and Monday will be above normal, ranging from the upper 80s to near 100 at lower elevations, and in the 70s to lower 80s in the mountains. Monsoonal moisture will begin to move into the area Monday night and spread across eastern Utah and western Colorado by Tuesday. This will bring another round of locally heavy rainfall on Tuesday from some thunderstorms, with this situation likely to continue at times through the rest of the week.
