Ante-Post Predictions

Gunning for title value at 6/1

It’s BACK! Yes folks the Premier League is back this weekend and it’s shaping up to be one of the best and closely fought battles for many a year and very tough to call.
Champions Manchester City again set the bar in this league and thus far have added more quality in the shape of the experienced Frank Lampard along with Willy Caballero, Fernando, Bacary Sagna, Eliaquim Mangala and Bruno Zuculini and that makes them even stronger than last year and Sean Graham price them as the 9/4 second favourites behind Chelsea who lead the betting at 15/8.
Jose Mourhino has aslo added wisely in the summer bringing in Diego Costa, Didier Drogba, Cesc Fabregas, Felipe Luis, Mario Pasalic to his already world class squad that has prompted layers to make them their favourites.
Arsenal get a price off 6/1 for the title this year and the Gunners look a value bet after Arsene Wenger at last invested some cash bringing in Calum Chambers, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina and Alexis Sanchez thus far and with Theo Walcott due back from injury soon they look to have a squad with enough quality to push the whole way this season.
If they keep Aaron Ramsey fit then the Gunners will be right in the mix and the 6/1 a hell of a lot better value than the front two in the Premier League betting.
Think there will be a battle on for fourth with Liverpool and Manchester United fighting it out.
We think the appointment of Louis Van Gaal is an excellent one for Manchester Utd but the Dutch maestro needs time to build ‘his’ team and there are United supporters I know think he will win the title in his first season.
Their chances depend on who he brings in in the next few weeks after summer signings of Vanja Milinkovic, Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera who looks a great signing and they are priced at 9/2 with Sean Graham.
Liverpool get a 10/1 quote after losing Luis Suarez and he will be a massive loss and for me Brendan Rodgers has done something of a Spurs job in the summer.
They lost Bale last year and bought a whole new team with the money - the Reds have done something similar and with Champions League football also on their agenda this year I can see 13-time Premier League winners Manchester United reclaim that Top 4 spot.
So our top FOUR 1. Arsenal 2. Manchester City 3. Chelsea 4. Manchester United.
The Top 3 pays 60/1 for the tri-cast.
So who goes down? Burnley are 7/4 to finish bottom but West Ham for us could struggle and 20/1 to finish bottom of the pile looks a solid bet. Our three to go down this season are West Ham, Burnley and West Brom.
The Golden Boot betting is led by Sergio Aguero and Robin Van Persie at 9/2 who both were injury-prone last season and look no value at that price. Chelsea new-boy Diego Costa has attracted money at 7/1
Arsenal new-boy Alexis Sanchez has his supporters at 20s as does Manchester City Edin Dzeko also a 20/1 punt. Here’s hoping it’s a memorable 2014-15 season and you get a run for your dosh.
