Moisture will increase across the region today, as a weak area of low pressure moves through eastern Colorado, and an upper level disturbance pushes over the state. This will bring areas of clouds to the region today, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms developing over most locations, mainly this afternoon and evening. The best chances will remain over the mountains. Locally heavy rain will remain possible with the stronger thunderstorms today, with an elevated flash flood threat expected, especially over the burn scars. Temperatures will remain near normal over most locations...and above average in extreme eastern Colorado. Look for high temperatures to reach the 60s to near 80 over the high country and the mid 80s to mid 90s over the plains.
