The usual crop of scattered afternoon storms will persist over the mountains and slowly diminish in coverage through the weekend, as drier air moves into the region. Area temperatures will continue a slow warming trend but still remain below seasonal averages. Temperatures through the plains are expected to reach into the 80s while through the mountains and San Luis Valley temperatures are expected in the 70s.
