A weak flow of monsoon moisture will spread across the western half of Colorado today, with some of this moisture gradually working into the eastern half of the state by this evening. The monsoon moisture will then gradually increase into the upcoming weekend, with an active period of weather returning to the region for the first half of next week. This will bring isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to mainly the mountain areas into Saturday, with more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity, along with a greater potential for heavy rain, returning to the region on Sunday. Area temperatures will remain above average today, with highs warming into the 90s to around 100 across the southeast plains, with 80s expected over the high country.
