A broad center of high pressure will cover the Rocky Mountain states...the southern plains and the west Thursday...with tropical moisture moving northward into Colorado. This will help produce somewhat more widespread thunderstorm activity over the viewing area. Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms over the mountains...while isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible over the eastern plains. Temperatures are expected to stay well above average...as daytime highs reach the 70s and 80s over the high country and southern valleys...while the eastern half of the state continues to bake under daytime highs in the 90s to near 105 degrees.
