The moist air pattern over southern Colorado will start to diminish Thursday...although ample lingering moisture will still be in place through the day. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop across the region...with some threat of heavy rain on the southeast plains. For flood prone areas...such as area burn scars or other rain soaked areas on the plains...keep an eye on conditions for heavy rain or any accumulating water. Temperatures are going to stay below average another day...with much warmer readings ready to return Friday through the weekend. Highs Thursday will still be in the 60s and 70s in the high country...and the 70s to around 80 degrees elsewhere. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
