YES - we use ALL opportunities to get attention how badly animals are treated in #Europe. Because the media does not want to pay attention to all the uncomfortable events that occur, therefore we make every effort to highlight the animals poor living conditions - to be noticed by as many people as possible.

There are still too many citizens in Europe who actually do not know how badly animals are treated in many EU Member States. We estimate that there is about 70% western Europeans who do not know the truth about the southern and eastern member states' cruel treatment of companion animals.

Many people goes on holiday to southern Europe unaware of the abuse that takes place daily. The tourist industry brings in billions each year and many of those countries are dependent on tourism. Bringing good animal welfare costs almost nothing and should be a natural element in the tourism industry.

The animals in Europe need ALL publicity that can be given and we and many of us take this opportunity to give the truth about how bad it is for the animals in many countries.

Little Billy works in this context as an ambassador for his friends in Cyprus and other countries.

What or how little Billy got sick or injured does not matter. NO dog should have to live and suffer as Billy did.

The mentality of how companion animals should be treated is very poor in many eastern and southern European countries and the poor awareness to animals needs goes for generations, therefore we want to introduce compulsory education in all EU Member States concerning animal welfare.

That little Billy was treated in this cruel manner in Cyprus, is no isolated phenomenon in Cyprus or Europe.
