HMS Belfast was decommissioned in 1963. It became a museum ship in 1971. It is moored on the South Bank London.

HMS Belfast was badly damaged by a German mine in the early part of the war. After extensive repairs it returned to action in 1942. Escorted Arctic convoys to the Soviet Union in 1943. Tool part in the Battle of North Cape. Supported the D-Day landings of
