A Red Flag Warning has been issued for El Paso and Fremont Counties from noon until 8pm Wednesday. Gusty winds, low humidities and dry fuels could lead to rapid fire growth. Expect dry, windy, and hot conditions again across the I-25 corridor and most of the plains. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the continental divide Wednesday afternoon and evening. There is also a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm near the Kansas-Colorado border. High temperatures will be in the 90s across the eastern plains, in the 70s and 80s over the Pikes Peak region including Colorado Springs, and in the 60s to 70s over the high country.
