Cooler air will cover eastern Color day this afternoon...as high pressure moves across the state. Skies should stay mostly sunny on the plains with cooler than average temperatures in store. Enough moisture will be in place for isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms ...mainly over and near the mountains. High temperatures are still expected to be in the 60s and 70s in the high country...and through the 70s over the rest of the viewing area. The cooler weather should be short-lived though...with warmer and drier conditions starting Friday. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
