Another round of thunderstorms will be possible across eastern Colorado today, as the last in a series of upper level disturbances pushes across the state. Some of these storms may once again become quite strong and possibly severe over the southeast plains and adjacent mountains. Locally heavy rain will also be possible with the stronger thunderstorms, with an elevated threat for flash flooding continuing over the burn scars. Persons planning activities near the drainage basins of the burn scars should remain weather alert and be prepared to move to higher ground if necessary. Drier weather will spread back across the state Monday and Tuesday, with only a few isolated showers or thunderstorms expected, mainly over the mountains. Area temperatures will remain below average over most locations today and again on Monday, with highs topping out in the 60s and 70s over most locations. Warmer weather should then return through mid week, with temperatures returning to ab! ove average. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
