A series of upper level disturbances will continue to push across the state over the next several days, bringing in a period of unsettled weather across eastern Colorado. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop during the afternoons, through the weekend, mainly across the eastern plains and adjacent mountains. Some of these storms could become quite strong and possibly severe during the afternoon and evening hours, producing strong gusty winds and hail. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible, which will increase the risk of flash flooding once again over the burn scars. Persons planning activities near the drainage basins for the burn scars should remain weather alert over the next few days. Please visit weather.gov/pub for additional information. Area temperatures will be noticeably cooler over most locations for the next several days, as highs cool into the 70s and 80s across eastern Colorado.
