Expect another warm day across southeastern Colorado today, as high temperatures cool slightly but still remain above average. Highs will top out in the 80s to low 90's across much of the region. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the late afternoon across El Paso County and the far eastern plains, with dry weather expected elsewhere across the region. On Thursday, a period of unsettled weather will begin over eastern Colorado, as a chance for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms develops over the eastern plains and adjacent mountains into the upcoming weekend. Some of these storms could become quite strong and possibly severe, so persons across the region will need to be weather alert. Heavy rain will also be possible through this period, increasing the threat for flash flooding on area burn scars. Please visit weather.gov/pub for additional information.
