The outlook for first week of June is for a hot and dry day in most areas through Tuesday. A weak surge of cooler air will invade the state on Monday dropping the temperature a few degrees during the afternoon, while on Tuesday,  temperatures rebound to near 100F in the far eastern plains. Elsewhere temperatures are expected to reach the high 60s and 70s in the mountains...into the low 80s in the southern valleys...with highs soaring to the mid to high 90s on the eastern plains.
