High pressure will continue to cover the Rocky Mountain states today with dry and warm weather persisting through the forecast area...although isolated late day showers and thunderstorms are possible in the high country...while skies stay sunny across the lower elevations. Moist air will start to increase over the area late Thursday bringing a slightly better prospect for thunderstorms over mountains and onto the adjacent lower areas late in the day. The next chance for widespread precipitation should start Friday...as moisture continues to increase throughout the region. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
