An active weather pattern will continue through the holiday weekend, as an upper level storm system moves slowly across the four corners region. Thunderstorms over the next few days may produce locally heavy rain. This will increase the threat for flash flooding over area burn scars. Persons planning activities in the vicinity of burn scar drainage basins today and this weekend, should remain weather alert and be prepared to move to higher ground if necessary. Area temperatures will remain around average on today, as highs warm into the 70s to low 80s across the eastern plains and 50s to low 70s over the high country.
