I don't think the horror has held up over the years, and if you can get through something like [REC] or parts from Drag Me to Hell, then Alien comes off as kind of normal- which is no surprise for the film that set the standard for sci-fi space horror.

yes...it is scary but you will love it...the next sequel is better but I hope you can skip 3 & 4

Maybe the prequel will be back on track http://www.movieweb.com/news/NEAcyBEHk0yWEA

anyway the first on is excellent, then it kinda degrades in quality by each sequel, Resurrection being the worse or just plain "WTF did they make this", Go Natali & the next step "inserting the DVD to play the director's cut"

this makes Netflix looks dodgy or it might actually be an alien in there, that lasts for 1 hr and 57 mins.

I've never seen it either. I don't DO scary. You gonna watch the theatrical or the director's cut?

Awesome - you won't be disappointed. Scary as hell though, just so you know. Scary as HELL.
