Weather conditions in Colorado will change through the day Saturday...ahead of a developing late season winter storm threat. Increasing moisture is expected to spread into the western side of the state...with rain and snow developing in the mountains. Some of the advancing moisture will make its way to the eastern mountains and the Palmer Divide in the afternoon...resulting in a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Fair and mild weather is expected over the southeast plains...although gusty winds with low humidity have prompted a Red Flag Warning for parts of the southeast plains Saturday afternoon and evening. Conditions will continue to deteriorate Saturday night and Sunday...with significant heavy wet snow accumulations in the mountains...and a good chance of precipitation over the rest of the region. High temperatures Saturday are going to reach the 50s and 60s in the mountains and southern valleys...and the 70s to lower 80s in the east. On Sunday though...expec! t temperatures to be on the order of 20 to 30 degrees COLDER region-wide.
