A westerly wind flow aloft will spread over the state into Saturday, with mostly dry and warmer weather returning to much of Eastern Colorado, with temperatures warming back into the 70s across the eastern plains, with 50s and 60s expected over the mountains. By Saturday night, our next low pressure system will begin moving into the state from the west. This low will spread an abundance of moisture across the central and southwest mountains Saturday night, with the moisture working across the remainder of the state behind a cold front on Sunday. As the low moves southeast into the Texas Panhandle late Sunday, a good chance for precipitation will develop area wide, with accumulating snows possible over much of eastern Colorado as colder air filters into the region from the north. Significant snow accumulations will be possible in the mountains and across the Palmer Divide with this system, with any accumulations over the eastern plains likely remaining confined to g! rassy or elevated surfaces.
