A weak area of high pressure will build over Colorado Friday...bringing a brief break in the weather to end the work week. Enough lingering moisture could still be in place to keep skies partly sunny through the day...but temperatures should be warmer in all areas with highs in the 40s and 50s in the mountains...the 60s in the southern valleys...and the 60s and 70s on the eastern plains. A potentially strong spring storm is expected to move through the Rockies ...starting late Saturday and lasting through Monday. This system could bring the threat of significant snow to the central mountains...while another round of wetting rains and isolated snow showers are expected over the lower elevations. Look for a warm day Saturday...before temperatures take another plunge Sunday. (Please visit http://weather.gov/pub for more information.)
