Gusty southwest winds will combine with warm and dry conditions across eastern Colorado into Wednesday, to increase the fire danger across the eastern plains and mountains, and across the San Luis Valley. For the latest information on this fire danger, please visit our web page at weather.gov/pub. Cooler weather will return on Wednesday as our next low pressure system begins moving across the state, dragging a cold front through the region late in the day. A few showers and afternoon thunderstorms will be possible over the mountains, mainly along and west of the Continental Divide. Area temperatures on Tuesday will warm into the 70s to low 80s across the eastern plains, and into the upper 40s to mid 60s across the high country.
