Windy and unseasonably cold weather is in store for southern Colorado over the next few days. It seems just as we're trying to step forward into spring, we've fallen a few steps backward into winter. Typical for Colorado in April. Tuesday will be windy and cold across most of southern Colorado. There will be a mix of rain and snow showers Tuesday afternoon, although this will be more likely in the mountains than on the plains. Local snowfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible in the mountains Tuesday with little or no snow accumulation expected across the lower elevations.
