One more day of fair and dry weather is expected across Colorado Friday as a short-lived area of high pressure moves through the eastern half of the state. Skies will mostly sunny region-wide with considerably warmer temperatures on the eastern plains. Looking ahead to the weekend though...a developing late season storm system will push into western Colorado Friday night...with rain and snow showers...and isolated thunderstorms Saturday along the Continental Divide. The system will swing through the state...spreading potentially significant wet...wind driven snow through the western and central mountains...and the Palmer Divide Saturday night and Sunday. The southeast mountains...and the region's lower elevations will also see a high likelihood of wind driven rain and snow...but with lighter snow accumulations expected than areas further north. Winter Storm Watches are already posted for the western mountains Saturday night and Sunday. For details on this late seaso! n storm visit our website at weather.gov/pueblo .
