Dry and fair weather will spread over the state into Friday, as an area of High pressure builds over the Rockies. Skies are going to be mostly sunny region-wide with cooler temperatures on the plains. Looking ahead to the weekend, our next storm system will begin affecting the weather over the state on Saturday, with a chance for precipitation developing over the high country. A small chance for precipitation will then spread onto the eastern plains by Sunday, with an extended period of cooler and unsettled weather spreading across the state as we move into the new week. Highs temperatures today will warm into the 40s and 50s over the mountains and into the 60s to low 70s over the San Luis Valley and across the eastern plains.
