Warm...dry and windy weather will develop across eastern Colorado today...resulting in the development of critical fire weather conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Interstate 25 and all of the Southeast Plains from Noon to 8 PM MDT. Somewhat unsettled conditions on the plains could also help produce isolated thunderstorms in the evening. In the high country and southern valleys...Brisk southwest flow and limited moisture will result in a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures should reach the 40s and 50s in the mountains and higher valleys...the 60s in the San Luis Valley...with a range of mid 60s to the lower 80s over the southeast plains.
