A series of weak upper level disturbances will push across the state over the next few days, bringing an increase in clouds to the region by late afternoon, along with a chance for rain or snow showers and possibly a few thunderstorms over the mountains. The chances for precipitation will spread into the eastern plains on Saturday, as a stronger upper level disturbance pushes over the state, and a weak area of low pressure builds across the region. Area temperatures will be well above average today over most locations, with highs today warming into the 70s to near 80 over the eastern plains and into the 50s and 60s across the high country.
